Mainland High School "Support Our Troops Club" hosted Wrestling for Warriors, food drive for veteran
LINWOOD — Mainland Regional High School hosted the Wrestling for Warriors, food drive for veterans. Organizer of the event "Mainland’s Support Our Troops Club". Sheriff Eric Scheffler spoke to the crowd about the accomplishments of the Hope One Mobile Outreach Unit that was on location to provide support for anyone suffering. The Sheriff also gav
e the "K9 Warriors a donation for the outstanding work they do. The American Legion Riders were also at the event to provide support and thanked the students for helping the veterans.
During the event the Support Our Troops Club and Varsity Wrestling Team in partnership with TouchNJ, Atlantic City Electric and the local Department of Veterans Affairs clinic were setup to distribute food for veterans. The school has been collecting canned goods, peanut butter and jelly, toilet paper, socks and pasta to supplement the food
