Sheriff Scheffler Helping "Neighbors Helping Neighbors "
Sheriff Eric Scheffler has formed another partnership with “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”. The first week Sally Gorski and her group of concerned neighbors joined together and fed 12 families the first week of operation. Week two they were feeding 40 families. Three weeks later they are feeding over 60 families. After the third week they decided they needed further assistance so they reached out to Sheriff Scheffler for assistance. The Sheriff contacted the Community Food Bank of South Jersey who stepped up to help. The Sheriff’s Office through its Community Care Initiative food delivery helped supply food to the group. “There’s people that need our help, so we are doing what we can to help,” said Sheriff Scheffler.
