Sheriff Scheffler , Shop with a Hero

Today Sheriff Eric Scheffler and members of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, as well as law enforcement agencies, military and first responders throughout Atlantic County participated in the 12th annual

. This event is a great way to bring local law enforcement agencies and their communities together, while bringing smiling faces to many children throughout Atlantic County. "Shop with a Hero is not only about taking the children shopping, said Sheriff Eric Scheffler", it is also about building relationships and kids developing lasting bonds with local police officers and heroes in the community." The morning started with breakfast at the Egg Harbor PAL building where the children got to meet their local heroes. Senator Vince Polistina was also present to help with those smiles.. After breakfast, a large parade of police, fire, and emergency vehicles escorted the kids to Walmart in Egg Harbor Township, where they teamed up with hero to shop with.
